Updates finally. :)

That's it. Hereby I renew my vow on blogging at least once a week. I cant believe I abandoned my blog for a few months. When was the last time it was updated anyway?

My resolution is that, even if I have nothing to write, I will still find some subject to blog on. Anyway it is semester break currently. Went around shopping and purchased a few books from Borders.

One of them is A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Hawkins. It is Book One of the All Souls Trilogy, the story ravels the combination of mystery, magic and romance. To me, a book without bits of romance in it might appear a bit too dry. But this book might have focused a tiny bit too much on the romance, instead of the the mystery. Not that I am complaining, being a hearty fan of romance genre, but it might be a bit of a disappointment for those who seeks for adventure meshed with magic. The 722 page novels features on Diana Bishop, a witch who tries very hard to deny her heritage until she stumbled upon a long-lost magic manuscript. And there begins the adventure, and the romance blooms with a vampire who is not only rich, but also handsome and strong. Deja vu? Not to mention, Diana really could induce exasperation in me with her continuous denial. Eventually she becomes the damsel in distress, and alas, the vampire the knight in shining armor. Heh, yes, cliche alright. It wouldn't off it as a badly written book, I could engross myself in the book well enough to finish it, but I won't vote this as one of the best paranormal romance written.

On the other hand, i completed another book, Dark Lover, a vampire romance by J.R.Ward. It is also the first book of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. This book debuts on the leader for the Black Dagger Brotherhood, Wrath and the main female protagonist, Elizabeth who prefers to be called as Beth. I might be feeling a tad humorous when I was reading the book, but the other member of the Brotherhood truly amuse me. Their name is Rhage, Vishous, Zsadist, Torhment, Phury and a few others. These really tickled my funny bone, I mean, where did the author procure these names from? Oh my. Still, two thumbs up for the author when she manages to insert more entertaining bits of humor in some of the unexpected scenes.

"Welcome to the wonderful world of jealousy. For the price of admission, you get a splitting
headache, a nearly irresistible urge to commit murder, and an inferiority complex." - Wrath

Haha, i am particularly fond of this phrase alright.

The Infamous Sleeping Habits

The Nerd
Are the ones which exhibits slight OCD characteristics. Wakes up way before the alarm screeches. Usually have a super-up-to-date biological clock ingrained in them, and the purpose of the real alarm clock? Decoration. Oh well, not that it really matters, but THE NERDS feel better having one, for the purpose of having one. Room is always neat, not a speck of dust on the table, or their brains will blow up. Wakes up two hours before class and combs their hair three times before class to straighten any unruly hair. For extreme ones, they will start plucking those wild and untamable hair before class, because they have plenty of time to single the hair out, analyse the unique curve and shape, take hold of a pair of scissors to snip it delicately and then admire the hair they cut out again. For the appearance obsessed peeps, they will begin the process of combing their hair again. Basically, it is a neverending process of combing.

The Punctual One
Wakes up at the dot. The one who calculates the time up to seconds. Eats their breakfast properly while perhaps have a short tete-a-tete with family. Your socks are equal in length and you never ever forgot your tumblr or food container. not to mention, your pocket money. heh. probably used to be a prefect in school, with half the population hating you and your guts and thinking that you are as predictable as the creases on your skirt. The other half of the population loves you, because you are reliable and a consistency in their life. Might look a bit stuck up, but it is face problem i am sure. :D

The Snoozer
The one who runs out with one hand grabbing the bottle, the other the bag and the mouth a slice of bread. Succeeds in catching the last bus, after some breathless attempts of chasing and unladylike routines of shouting. You are probably best friends with the Punctual Ones, who always ask the bus driver to hold on and wait for you to board the bus. You might have combed your hair, but after all the crazy routine of catching the bus, you might be suffering from the "wind-blown" hair. with the ends of the hair still stuck in midair.

The Super Snoozer
The one who wakes the whole house up while he/she is still drooling on their saliva-drenched pillow. Probably have up to 5 alarm clock. Sets your alarm clock half/one hour earlier, with the time set another half an hour earlier. Wakes up eventually, after many twisting and turning until your bedsheets chokes you and wakes you up. rushes for the class eventually. Your lecturer or the guard at the school gate probably recognizes you, whether from your consistent neverending lateness or your ability to always be so predictable.

The Literal Drop Dead
The no show at all meeting in the morning. never mind about alarm. the ringing of alarm will only ring in your dreams, meaning they are not even sufficient to penetrate through that fog covered mind of yours or cut through your multilayered dreams. Your lecturer or teacher probably think you are a new student at every class. Wakes up only when the sun goes high, has never set your sight on the dawn before. Then takes your time dressing up, nevermind rushing, why bother when it only changes the degree of lateness? it is still LATE.

Btw, this is only a theory basing on my personal analysis. Please do not think that this is an indirect comment towards anyone specific in particular. My apologies if the descriptions offended anyone. >.<

My 21st Blast

Yeh i know, i know. It has been almost a week, but i was really busy and this is my blog, so who cares? Anyway, here i go.

My first 21st birthday was celebrated in penang, on the 6th of February 2011. It was an early celebration together with my besties since primary and secondary, together with the chinese new year celebration. It was also a gathering of sorts at Tao (ate a krazy amount of the cheese scallop *yum*) for us, since it was quite rare that all of us are able to gather together in penang. But they have been with me through thick and thin and i really really appreciate our long-standing friendship. To all those who have stuck by me for all time, cheers!

Anyway, it was kinda funny now that i think about it. I arrived late and i rushed to eat of course since the time limit given was only 2 hours. YES, i am late for almost 40 minutes, wasted my time. But still, i love the unagi, salmon, sashimi and scallop.(of cozzz!) After we were all watered and fed, (finally feeling rejuvenated), two of my friends left for the bathroom. They came back with the small tiramisu cheese cake from nearby Starbucks, and made the Tao play the birthday song on the speaker. I was shocked and totally gobsmacked. Needless to say, I.....

wanted to find a hole and crawl into it.

Hhaha, why???? U must ask. My dears, put yourself in my position. Haha, i begged them not to play the birthday song on speaker. When it was played, it was predictable that everyone, YES, everyone younger or older or even the baby have halted crying. The ah ma and ah pek at the opposite table saw me and was grinning!! Laughing at me. LOL, desperate to push the attention to someone else, i grab my friend's hand and wished her happy birthday. hehe, trying to keh si keh si that the birthday girl wasnt me. ahhahaha, my friend's mouth curved into a perfect O! hahah, it was priceless. if only i have a camera at that time.

But i was really really happy and touched as well. I thought it was a gathering for all of us, my birthday not included. Well, the usual routine continued, making a wish, blowing candles, receiving presents and also the thank you routine.

My thanks to Vanessa and Alan for the book, still havent finish reading, but it has brought me much laughter from the beginning. Even your private message inside was funny. haha. To Yee dear, my utmost thanks for the Parker pen, appreciate and lovin' it. To Chia Min, hahhaa the shirt was fabulous! There could not be a better present! (and the 2 ringgit in the plastic bag was a bonus ;D) and also joanne, carmen and jamie who helped to make my birthday a joyful and meaningful event. ^^

Fastforwarding to my birthday day itself, it was a... quiet day. Hahaha, i went to class, got through the day and went home. Andddd, this is where the excitement starts. *grins* Wearing the birthday present from chia min, i wore the brand new shirt to zhian may's place. It started off normal, zhian may drove me, phang ling, hin chi and chun yai outside for my birthday dinner. We came back home, sang the song, make a wish, blow the birthday cake and ate it to-gay-ther. ;D Zhen said my present was in the car, and i need to be blindfolded. To be clear, no, it wasnt a request. -___- I was escorted by Phang Ling to outside the garage. They peeled off my blindfold slowly, and in what seems like an eternity to me at that few seconds, they ended it with..

Rubbing a super nasty amount of flour mixed with something gooey on my face.

I screamed and shrieked in outrage. What? Do u think i am going to stomp my foot and say 'how dare u?' It is never too late for that u know, NOW IS THE TIME TO GET EQUAL. KEKEKE, THE HORN IS FINALLY OUT.

Did i mention it was four against one? Sheesh, and the gooey thing was actually yogurt. Anyway, i managed to grab ahold of a cup of yogurt *puffs up chest*, and it was revenge time. HEHE, revenge is best served hot. I made sure that i am not the only one who looked as though i survived a Tsunami, all of us looked equally like crap. on contrary to how i look, i felt as though i was in cloud nine. It was a krazy exprerience, but this for sure is my most enjoyable birthday. Thanks dears for all the effort u all spent to make this day meaningful to me. ^^

Also, a dedication to all my coursemates, especially calyn, song, isaac, chian seong, chester, kai waey, lee xien, ying xian and cally, thanks a lot for the present! I have decorated the contents with enough "blings" to blind a person, and i couldnt have love it more. Isaac, thanks for the cakes, i love it very much although it makes me put on a tremendous amount of weight ahha. Guilty pleasures indeed. *wink*

Last but not least, to all the well wishers, i really appreciate all the blessings from you all, my 21st birthday would not be complete without all of u. Thank u guys, All of u, again.

Xoxo.

Some of my pictures about how i look, yes, i look gorgeous dont i sweeties?? xD sigh, i wanted to upload more actually. stupid blogger limit. >.<

thanks zhian may for the lovely surprise! xD

My birthday trio. ^^

Merry Christmas!

This is one of the years i find celebrating christmas very exciting. Well, i dont really celebrate like going out all night and party until morning that kind of celebrate. *ehem* Being such a discrete lady like me, it was more like baking chocolate chip cookies, making puddings (green apple flavour! YEH!) and being bossed around by my mum endlessly. Haha, at least i shop plenty this year because it was my first year at university, where Kampar is the place of no-shopping paradise i tell u. Unless u bookmarked Tesco as one of your very favourite venue for shopping.

Christmas this year is special. U know where in the television movies, when all the grampa grandma uncle aunty cousins nephew nieces grandchild and well u get the point, all gather together for the purpose of celebrating the event, well this is how i feel exactly this year since i have been on-and-off from home because i was attending university in a place farrrr from home. haha, trying to sound melodramatic here baby, dont burst my bubble. xDD It was quite nice a feeling actually because it makes you appreciate your parents and home more, and also everyone you know in the place you grow up. especially the friends you know since you were young, it is kind of nice and reassuring to be with them because they know exactly who and what you are, and vice versa. Hmm, to simplify it, i can say, I AM HOMEEEEE xDDD I love my dear family and besties from Penang.

Also, to all my newfound friends in Kampar, although all of us are back in our hometown, allow me to wish you Merry Christmas as well. May you enjoy c'mas just like i do, and savor the feeling of being with your hometown family and friends once again! Well, of course, there is this kind of distinct feeling of fear in my heart whenever the thought of results are released, but oh well! Enjoy your time for now and worry later! Do not celebrate the Lord's birthday with burden in your heart, for He died with the purpose of carrying our sins and burdens together with his death.

By the way, if you have a Question about this blog, HAHAHA, this is my currnt 3rd blog. Grant me the privilege to explain myself. My 1st blog was private, you wouldn't want to read it. It consist of things that should be kept away, dark stories and myths that are used to scare children by the old folks' if they do not sleep immediately. Curses and ominous atmosphere filled the blog, giving you the feeling that should not exist during this celebration of christmas. Hahah, just kidding, anyway moving on to mua second blog, it was a TUMBLR, and apparently after the successful establishment with red carpet, slaughter the pig (or smtg, the chinese tradition) and popping the cork of a champagne, i found out that Tumblr cannot add readers from blogspot. My world crashed. And so, this is my current 3rd blog. (hopefully, my last) Trust me, opening another blogger account is very very troublesome, you have to keep up-to-date with your every blog to make sure they are not "banished" by the blogspot or tumblr. ahhaha.

Now, let's return to christmas! I did not have a good start with my baking, (dont you dare to have the "i-knew-it!" expression on your face) as i accidentally mixed the flour together with the butter and sugar. Hahaha, if expressions could kill, trust me, i would be dead now by the hand of my mother, she looked pretty murderous to me at that very moment. Anyway, i still tried very hard to mix the batter so that the sugar will melt, although it has clumped to small pebble-like appearance, courtesy of flour, i still do not wish to ruin my second time baking cookies. (applause for that!) and then, bla bla bla, i managed to create the wonderful tasting cookies! learn from this, a disastrous start does not necessarily guarantee a catastrophic ending you know. *wink*

This is the picture of my masterpiece, i only caught the picture for the final product, as if i had accidentally smeared flour on my sister's DSLR, then i might have secured a place in the 7th hell all by myself. ahahha, in comparison, my mother's earlier murderous expression might have looked like an angel with a halo.
